Reverend Halley is the current pastor of True Light Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. He is a native of Detroit, MI. He is the son of Mr. Anthony F. Halley, Sr. and Mrs. Barbara Ann Halley-Peterson, and the husband of First Lady Jenay Halley. He was chosen to succeed the Reverend John W. Bowie, Sr. in September 2015.

 

Reverend Halley received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dallas Baptist University in Dallas, Texas and Associate Business Management from Wayne County Community College from Detroit, Michigan. Currently, he is pursuing a Masters of Divinity at Southwestern Seminary.​

In 1993, at the age of 14, the then young Reverend Halley accepted his call to the ministry.  Upon his acceptance, he was provided a solid and biblical foundation by his mentor and father in the Ministry, the late Doctor Jerome Kirby, Pastor of the New Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Highland Park, Michigan. Dr. Kirby, a dynamic man of God, had a major influence on the young Reverend Halley.
